Course Overview
|
This 5 day - 4 night course provides uplift from the KS4 curriculum to increase confidence , motivation and aspiration towards Higher Education. A broad range of activities and challenges are explored in teams which relate to practical, theoretical and financial mathematics, for example unsolved mathmatical problems, codes and cryptography, and share trading.
This course is for Aimhigher students and is fully funded by HEFCE and Imperial College.

Course Aims
|
Students will work on a series of activities which contextualise A-level maths topics, and provide uplift from KS4 curriculum content to support of Advanced curriculum and examination requirements. Set in a University environment, students will gain a taster of what life is like as a Maths Undergraduate in residence at Imperial College. |

Pre-requisites
|
Prospective A-Level maths *Aimhigher students, currently in Year 11.
*Aimhigher denotes that funding is designated to support students who are able and underachieving or who may be at a disadvantage which could potentially have a negative effect on achievement. |
